From the point of initial enquiry, we collaborate with our clients to understand the vision for their project. By taking one of our in-house designs, or personal inspiration as a starting point, we consult with clients to agree upon a bespoke solution, tailored to their space.

Where necessary, we make site visits to discuss projects face-to-face, and take dimensional readings to inform design.

Taking dimensions of the environment from the consultation process and, in the case of fireplaces, your chosen stove or fire grate, we hand draw designs in both 10:1 and 1:1 ratio to inform bespoke proportions and scale.

These technical drawings produced by our draughtsman are then used to create templates for the carving process.

Where possible, we use CAD technology to bring client designs to life in 3D. The resulting imagery can be rendered into different environments to give a richer contextual understanding of how the will come to life in the chosen material, and further inform design decisions.

Finally, our designs are then hand carved in the chosen material in our workshop, using traditional stonemasonry tools and techniques to achieve a unique one-of-a-kind finished product.

We offer an installation service for our fire surrounds and stonemasonry where required, ensuring an uncompromised finish, true to the initial concept.
